Slug-Phone from Doug Potts on Vimeo.
It is the year 2018.
The attachment of cellular phones and mankind has reached an all-time high. The scientific community at large has ingeniously responded and devised a new method of efficient communication.
THE SLUG PHONE: Genetically grown with strands of DNA from a South American Leech [Hirudo medicinalis] and North American Banana Slug [Ariolimax columbianus].
Technologically developed with hardware from the recent 12G hit developer Sumsang.

WINTER WORK: NOW ONLINE
Super from Doug Potts on Vimeo.
Superheroes stand as a symbol, an icon for society to look to in times of need. Breakdown and mutate the clichés of a hero, and you will find merely another human being.
FALL WORK: NOW ONLINE
String of Seasons from Doug Potts on Vimeo.
Project overview:
Started in early August 2010, String of Seasons was conceived from the notion of creating a 10-minute segment of a feature length film.
A collaborative short film by Brian Schmidt and Doug Potts aimed at delving into the complexity of narrative structure while illustrating one man's struggle to find love.

Project Developments...and personal notes
FINAL NOTES ON PROJECT PLAN.
View:
Wide format.
24 rendered vertical frames, create 1 large image.
Fish eye distortion within each frame (around 8mm).
Object:
Intriguing animated shape.
Single color/ material/ texture interacts with unique lighting.
Straight edges vs. curved edges.
Multiple objects put together to create one animated shape. (i.e. Look at flux video on vimeo [http://vimeo.com/15395471])
Architectural morphing in the shape (i.e. "quite&orange -cdack" Vimeo [http://vimeo.com/15138486])
Look at changes in scenery (in film: Inception, the Fall)
Blender Delivery:
Array a set of objects.
Animate 24 frames.
Render 24 frames out.
Curve Modifiers (2d curves stringed
Displace mod. to overall objects. (look at order of ops.)
______
IDEA CHANGE
Do This:
Instead of animating a single complicated object, my 24 frames could be generated from the perspective of the camera flying around the object.
